What you can see in Permit Guide

Permit Guide shows different things to different people. What appears in your left sidebar depends on the access your account has been given, so your screen may not match a colleague's — that's normal.

What most people see

Most staff see three things in the sidebar:

  • Chat Assistant — ask questions and get answers grounded in your city's codes and data

  • Chat History — find and reopen your past conversations

  • Knowledge Base — browse the documents the AI can draw on

If you also use the Outlook plugin to draft emails, that's granted separately and shows up inside Outlook, not in the sidebar.

If you're missing something you need
